nothing ever happens, until it does.
I’m a big believe that history is kind of like a slingshot. there’s a bunch of incremental events that build tension and then pow! the projectile gets fired at a target.
I think we’re — you know, we, you, I, us, humanity — is reaching the apex of tension and we’re about to fire off at the target.
I don’t really know what it is, but it’s the first time in a while, maybe a few years, that I’ve felt the need to restructure my portfolio. more than a money-making machine, in some way it represents my degree of faith in the world; my opinion on the existential risk of all this stuff we call life.
I do think there will be pain. I also think there will be pleasure. I think whatever you end up experiencing depends on how you position yourself for the changing of a tide. and the water about halfway out, maybe a little more, maybe a little less. there’s a wave coming. a syzygy.
some people will be fine. others won’t. such is life.
like any projectile designed to hit a target, you have to line up your shot and take it carefully. you might have more shots! but they’ll come after a reload period. how long is that reload time? we’ll find out in the next millennia, me thinks.
